Stanley 605 type 9 (1931-1932)

This Bedrock plane is super clean. I seriously have to question if its ever actually been used. The japanning is 100% intact. The handle & tote are completely blemish free. This plane is in exceptional condition.
The Stanley No. 605 Bedrock Type 9 (circa 1931–1932) is a highly collectible flat-top jack plane. It features a distinct triple-screw frog design that allows you to adjust the blade opening without removing the iron, along with a precisely mated frog that prevents chatter.
A well-preserved Type 9 will typically feature a “Sweetheart” (SW) logo on the blade, pristine dark rosewood handles (tote and knob), and roughly 90–99% of its original black japanning.
Because of the solid machined frog design, Bedrocks are widely considered the benchmark for premium hand planes. Original models are highly sought after by woodworkers.
