This the MILLERS FALLS #75B block plane. The plane has remained in its original box. The box has some minor cosmetic defects but still pretty well intact. The plane itself appears to be in very good condition with very little signs of use if any.
The 75 was a standard 20 degree bed block plane that didn’t have an adjustable throat. This plane was first made around 1929. Earlier models had a cocobolo front knob, mid age models had a reddish stained hardwood knob, and by 1968 the they stared to use plastic knobs. The letter “B” designation doesn’t really have a purpose that anyone has been able to find. So, there’s no difference between the 75 and the 75B.
A beautiful little block plane.
