This rare Stanley #2 Type 15 hand plane (1931-1932) shows very little signs of use if any. Japaning appears to be 100% intact. Unfortunately it appears that the handle had been broken sometime in the past but has been repaired, and is strong and sturdy. There is the smallest of chips at the top of the handle.
There are no chips or cracks on the body. The tote also shows no signs of any cracks.
Some other very minor blemishes, but given its age this plane it is in remarkable condition.
From all appearances it appears this plane has never been used, however that opinion is based purely on the planes condition.
